Experience the Republic of Poljica on a bicycle – 6 days

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival and accommodation. Familiarization with the routes for the next six days.

Day 2: Pirate Tour

Pirate tour. Meeting point: in front of your hotel in Omiš where the tour begins. This tour takes us through the pirate town of Omiš. After exploring the pirate city of Omiš, we hop on our bikes and start the journey through the roads of the Republic of Poljica. We climb towards the monument of Mili Gojsalić, who raised the Turkish camp full of Turkish soldiers into the air to preserve her honor. During the ride, we have four short stops with interesting stories about these historical places of the Republic of Poljica. The trail is quite demanding, with many ascents and descents, gravel and narrow roads. The trail is 45 km long. Lunch is in an authentic tavern of the Republic of Poljica, and after returning to the starting point, there is a transfer by vans to the hotel. Before dinner, there is a tour of Fortica fortress.

Day 3: Cetina Tour

Cetina tour. Meeting point: in front of your hotel in Omiš where the tour begins. Short transfer of 15 minutes to the starting point of rafting. After rafting and arriving by boat to Omiš, we hop on our bikes and start the journey through the roads of the Republic of Poljica. During the ride, we have four short stops with interesting stories about these historical places of the Republic of Poljica. The trail is quite demanding, with many ascents and descents, gravel, and narrow roads. The trail is 50 km long. Lunch is in an authentic tavern of the Republic of Poljica, and after returning to the starting point, before dinner, there is a tour of the Omiš Riviera. After dinner, there is a 30-minute transfer to a new hotel in Split.

Day 4: Mosor Tour

Mountain Mosor tour. Meeting point: in front of your hotel in Split and a 20-minute transfer to Žrnovnica, where the tour begins. This tour takes us through the most interesting parts of Mount Mosor. After visiting the 500-year-old Antoličin Mill, we hop on our bikes and start today’s ride. We climb towards the Observatory on one of the peaks of Mosor. During the ride to the top, we have four short stops with interesting stories about these historical places of the Republic of Poljica. The trail is quite demanding, with many ascents and descents, gravel, and narrow roads. The trail is 38 km long. Lunch is in an authentic tavern, and after returning to the starting point, there is a transfer by vans to the hotel. Before dinner, there is a tour of Diocletian’s Palace in the center of Split.

Day 5: Poljica Republic Tour

Poljica Republic tour. Meeting point: in front of your hotel in Split and a 20-minute transfer to Žrnovnica, where the tour begins. This tour takes us through the most interesting parts of the Poljica Republic. After the storytelling of the Poljica Prince, we hop on our bikes and start today’s ride. During the ride, we have four short stops with interesting stories about these historical places of the Poljica Republic. The trail is quite demanding, with many ascents and descents, gravel, and narrow roads. The trail is 40 km long. Lunch is in an authentic tavern, and after returning to the starting point, there is a transfer by vans to the hotel. Before dinner, there is a tour of Diocletian’s Palace in the center of Split.
