This new package offered by the 3D Adventure DMC travel agency combines the best of Dalmatia – a cycling tour with cultural and historical landmarks of the Imotski region over ten days, with a special focus on the three Imotski lakes, two rivers, Biokovo Nature Park  and Dalmatia hinterland. During these ten days, we will visit around 30 of the most significant locations in the Dalmatia hinterland, covering most of the area. Guests will exclusively dine at local farms and authentic taverns to experience the spirit of Dalmatia hinterland through its gastronomic offerings, complemented by local wines from the Dalmatia hinterland.

Day 1: Welcome to Split – An Introduction to History

  • Welcome at Split Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Split.

  • Introductory meeting with your guide and equipment fitting.

  • Light introductory ride (approx. 15 km): Explore the Split riviera, Marjan hill, and get an introduction to Roman history at Diocletian’s Palace (UNESCO).

  • Dinner: Welcome lunch at a traditional konoba (tavern) in Split’s Veli Varoš neighborhood.

  • Accommodation: Split.

Day 2: From Sea to Mountain – Ride to Klis

  • Ride (approx. 35 km, uphill): Leave the coast and ascend towards the Kozjak mountain range. Destination: the Klis Fortress.

  • Lunch: With a local family in Klis, featuring authentic Dalmatian specialties.

  • Visit to Klis Fortress: An immersive experience at the “Game of Thrones” filming location, learning the legend of the Uskoks and Knight Petar.

  • Transfer back to Split (optional, if guests are tired).

  • Free evening to explore Split’s gastronomy.

  • Accommodation: Split.

Day 3: Journey to the Heart of the Zagora – Sinj and the Alka

  • Transfer by support vehicle to the starting point near Trilj.

  • Ride (approx. 40 km): Follow the Cetina river towards Sinj, passing by Peračko Blato wetland and the source of the Cetina river, Vrilo.

  • Lunch: Picnic by the springs of the Cetina.

  • Arrival in Sinj. Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Sinj and the Alka Museum.

  • Dinner and accommodation: Sinj.

Day 4: Challenge and Views – Ride towards Vrlika

  • Ride (approx. 45 km, more challenging): Ride towards Vrlika on former roads and forest paths, with fantastic views of Lake Peruča.

  • Lunch: In Vrlika, accompanied by the story of the legendary heroine of ojkanje singing.

  • Return by transfer or a shorter, more relaxed ride back to Sinj (an option for all).

  • Free time to relax.

  • Dinner at a traditional “aščinica” (small eatery).

  • Accommodation: Sinj.

Day 5: The Wine Border – The Path to Imotski

  • Ride (approx. 50 km): One of the most beautiful and longest rides. Cycle through vineyards and olive groves towards Imotski. Visit small villages and enjoy a tasting at a family-owned winery.

  • Lunch: At the winemaker’s, with wine and cheese.

  • Arrival in Imotski. Visit the Blue and Red Lakes.

  • Dinner and accommodation: Imotski.

Day 6: A Day of Exploring Karst and History

  • A day for options:

    • Option A (more active): Ride to Vrpolje Ćići, a unique ethno-village.

    • Option B (more cultural): Transfer to Medjugorje (for religious pilgrims) or exploration of nearby rocks and caves.

  • Lunch: Of your choice.

  • Free afternoon to enjoy the peace of the small town.

  • Farewell dinner in Imotski featuring Imotski cuisine.

  • Accommodation: Imotski.

Day 7: Towards the Far South – Vrgorac and Vrgorsko Polje

  • Ride (approx. 30-40 km): Head towards Vrgorac, through the impressive Vrgorsko Polje, the largest karst field in Croatia.

  • Lunch: At a local family farm (OPG) in one of the field’s villages.

  • Arrival in Vrgorac. Climb to the Grad Fortress for incredible panoramic views.

  • Dinner and accommodation: Vrgorac.

Day 8: A Day on Biokovo or for Leisurely Rest

  • A day for options:

    • Challenge (for the strongest): Organized transfer to the Biokovo mountain and a ride down the serpentine roads with incredible views (requires top fitness and caution).

    • Rest and Culture: Explore Vrgorac, visit the local market, go for a swim nearby.

  • Farewell dinner in Vrgorac.

  • Accommodation: Vrgorac.

Day 9: Return Towards the Coast – Ride to Omiš

  • Last major ride (approx. 55 km): Descend from the Zagora towards the coast. Ride through the Cetina river canyon to Omiš.

  • Lunch: In Omiš, featuring fresh fish specialties.

  • Afternoon: Time for a swim in the sea or a visit to the old pirate fortress, Fortica.

  • Transfer by support vehicle to Split.

  • Final dinner in Split.

  • Accommodation: Split.

Day 10: Goodbye and Farewell

  • Final breakfast.

  • Transfer to Split Airport for your flight.

  • Goodbye!
